• Proven Track Record

Thompson Writing & Editing has been working with authors successfully since 2002, and Lynn spent 23 years working for a major directory publisher before that. Through her work in the corporate world, Lynn was asked to contribute to the McGraw-Hill Recycling Handbook, Second Edition, which has been in circulation since 2001. As well as her own books, she has ghostwritten or edited numerous other books that have won awards, received critical acclaim, and sold well for their authors.

• Solid Marketing Background

In addition to majoring in marketing and earning a bachelor of science in business administration,  Lynn's corporate background was all spent working in marketing, sales, and public relations. She created all the marketing material for her own online store, which she operated for a decade. Several of her pieces have been awarded by professional organizations. She's spent time as publicity chair for every non-profit group on whose board she's served. Everything she works on is done with an eye to its marketability.

• Continuous Improvement

Lynn is always attending training sessions and networking meetings with the marketing, advertising, PR, digital marketing, and communications industries to keep her skills updated with the latest developments in each field. She is also a frequent attendee or speaker at writers' group meetings and stays in touch with the publishing industry to maintain awareness of what's happening there. And she bought books for her own e-commerce site from Baker & Taylor when it still supplied stores. Now it is one of the two major suppliers of books for libraries nationwide, so she is familiar with the book industry from the buyer's perspective, as well.
